The article discusses the findings of two studies conducted in 2015 that looked at the whole genome of ancient humans from various periods and regions in western Eurasia. The studies concluded that the Yamnaya and Khvalynsk cultures were genetically related to the European Corded Ware culture complex, suggesting a mass migration of Yamnaya herders into Europe around 3000-2500 BCE.
